This episode was recorded after what I can only describe as a whirlwind of change for me. I've recently moved to a new part of the country, i have new horses arriving, and its a whole new rhythm of living. What better way to return to the podcast than by diving into a conversation that’s been close to my heart for a long time: the horses of India.
Alison Cox and Komal Vaishnav joined me for this one. Alison has travelled across the world with Conscious Horse, Conscious Rider, and Komal shared how one week of CHCR in Italy completely changed her world and even led to her first horse. Together we talk about the history and magic of the Marwari horses, the contrast between beauty and hardship in India, and the extraordinary resilience of horses who even without eyes or strength are still willing to trust and contribute.
We also explore what happens in a CHCR class, how quickly the energy of a whole barn or even a city can shift, and the way horses invite us to lead, to trust, and to step into a space of communion with our bodies and our choices.
As Alison said in our chat, “What can we contribute to you?” is one of the most powerful questions you can bring to a horse, to a person, or even to the future.
This episode is an invitation to see beyond judgment, beyond figuring it out, and into the wonder that horses are always ready to show us.
