In this episode of Letâs Talk Horses, Life, Living, Sarah Watt talks with Viv Adcock about communicating with animals, and how having no point of view opens up a space not only for true communication and communion with your animal, but for different possibilities to show up.
Animals so desire to communicate with us; they desire to be truly received and connected to and cared for. And, when people want to communicate with their animals, they generally want to know if they are doing the right thing and if there is anything they can do to make their animal happier.Â
When you include animal communication, it's like you open to a whole new world because you are communicating in the language of energy; which is the first language of everything that we share on this planet. So, communicating with animals is really about increasing your energetic capacities.
Are you ready to totally receive with no projected result or expected outcome?

This episode was recorded after what I can only describe as a whirlwind of change for me. I've recently moved to a new part of the country, i have new horses arriving, and its a whole new rhythm of living. What better way to return to the podcast than by diving into a conversation thatâs been close to my heart for a long time: the horses of India.
Alison Cox and Komal Vaishnav joined me for this one. Alison has travelled across the world with Conscious Horse, Conscious Rider, and Komal shared how one week of CHCR in Italy completely changed her world and even led to her first horse. Together we talk about the history and magic of the Marwari horses, the contrast between beauty and hardship in India, and the extraordinary resilience of horses who even without eyes or strength are still willing to trust and contribute.
We also explore what happens in a CHCR class, how quickly the energy of a whole barn or even a city can shift, and the way horses invite us to lead, to trust, and to ste...
You wonât find a lot of fuss or fancy language hereâjust the truth, and a lot of mud under the fingernails.
Amy Dell-Anthony is the founder of Abbottâs View Livery in the UKâa place where horses are allowed to be horses, mistakes are shared as freely as successes, and the business plan is written in hoof prints rather than spreadsheets.
Amy didnât set out to be an influencer, or even an expert. She just kept listeningâto the horses that threw her, the ones that picked her, and the quiet ones standing in the back, coping.
A degree in animal behaviour and welfare gave her the science, but it was daily life with her cob Buck that gave her the questions worth asking. Why do we do things this way? What if thereâs another possibility?
Abbottâs View is a working example of what happens when you put the horseâs needs above tradition, and let curiosity lead the way. Her track system wasnât built to be impressive. It was built because nothing else worked. Every fence, sand pit, and experiment ...
In this episode of Letâs Talk Horses: Life & Living, Sarah sits down with Suzy Godseyâanimal communicator, Access Consciousness facilitator, and steward of a world where animals speak⊠and we finally learn to listen.
In this gentle yet potent conversation, Suzy invites us into a different way of being with the creatures around usâfrom the dog at our feet to the horse in the paddock to the unseen beings in nature we often overlook. What if animals werenât here to be trained or managed, but to contribute to our lives in ways we've never imagined?
Tune in for stories that will soften your edges, open your world, and leave you wonderingâŠ
What are the animals showing me that Iâve never acknowledged before?

This week on Letâs Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt is joined by Morne Lembke MinnieâSouth African horseman and quiet storm of awareness.
If youâve ever been told to âbe the bossâ with your horse, this conversation might just untangle everything you thought you knew about leadership, control, and communication.
Morne doesnât use force. He doesnât shout. He listensâand horses lean in. Together, Sarah and Morne explore the spaces between language and being, between stillness and choice, and how horses show us who we are when we stop trying to prove anything.
This isnât just a chat about horsemanshipâitâs about presence, perception, and trusting yourself in the moments when nothing makes sense⊠and yet everything is alive.

In this episode of Letâs Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt talks with Gareth MarĂ© about his approach to training horses. He has always maintained that horses are not out to âget usâ and can't be ânaughtyâ; they are just responding from the pool of their experiences and trying to survive.
For Gareth, educating people that horses are essentially a peaceful animal is very important, and he uses equine neurological science to back up his relaxed approach to training.

A lot of the conversations on this podcast center around horses, but they are really about life. In this episode of Letâs Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt talks with Jim Greendyk about horses, self awareness, discipline and social media.
Sarah loves how Jim trains horses. He has developed a reputation for being kind and successful in the show pen, living and loving the game. As Jim says, every day is a day to be out with your horses and enjoying what you are doing. Every day is the same - you wake, you eat breakfast, you ride horses - and, every day is different, as your horse can be a sweetheart one day and dragon the next.Â
Trusting you and your process, and working with the way the horse presents itself each day is the key to success.
