EP16, 2025 Amy Dell-Anthony on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

Jun 26, 2025

You won’t find a lot of fuss or fancy language here—just the truth, and a lot of mud under the fingernails.
Amy Dell-Anthony is the founder of Abbott’s View Livery in the UK—a place where horses are allowed to be horses, mistakes are shared as freely as successes, and the business plan is written in hoof prints rather than spreadsheets.

Amy didn’t set out to be an influencer, or even an expert. She just kept listening—to the horses that threw her, the ones that picked her, and the quiet ones standing in the back, coping.
A degree in animal behaviour and welfare gave her the science, but it was daily life with her cob Buck that gave her the questions worth asking. Why do we do things this way? What if there’s another possibility?

Abbott’s View is a working example of what happens when you put the horse’s needs above tradition, and let curiosity lead the way. Her track system wasn’t built to be impressive. It was built because nothing else worked. Every fence, sand pit, and experiment ...

EP15, 2025 Tasmin Maher on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

Jun 19, 2025

This week on Let’s Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt sits down with Tasmin Maher, a South African rider and coach who learned early that real success has less to do with perfect rounds and everything to do with finding joy in the process.

Tasmin’s story isn’t about trophies or training secrets—it’s about building a life around horses because you love it, not because anyone else expects you to. She shares what it’s like growing up with horses as family, why pressure doesn’t have to steal your joy, and how the real victories are often the small, steady wins you share with your horse when nobody else is watching.

If you’ve ever needed permission to slow down, to listen instead of force, or to remember why you started in the first place, this episode is for you. Sarah and Tasmin talk about heartbreak and healing, about the partnership that can only be built over years, and about what happens when you finally let go of perfection and just show up—for your horse, and for yourself.

EP14, 2025 Scott Purdum on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

Jun 12, 2025

What does it really take to live in presence—with horses, with people, with your life?

In this honest and wide-ranging episode, Sarah Watt welcomes back horseman and educator Scott Purdum for a conversation that weaves through hoof care, burnout, redefining success, and the art of saying no. They talk barefoot vs. shod, working with difficult horses, asking for help, and what it means to meet others—human or equine—exactly where they are.

It’s a conversation about permission. To change your mind. To step back. To charge more. To choose less. To listen more deeply. To live more presently.

What if the thing you thought you had to push through
was actually the moment you got to choose something greater?

Jun 05, 2025

In this episode of Let’s Talk Horses: Life & Living, Sarah sits down with Suzy Godsey—animal communicator, Access Consciousness facilitator, and steward of a world where animals speak
and we finally learn to listen.

In this gentle yet potent conversation, Suzy invites us into a different way of being with the creatures around us—from the dog at our feet to the horse in the paddock to the unseen beings in nature we often overlook. What if animals weren’t here to be trained or managed, but to contribute to our lives in ways we've never imagined?

Tune in for stories that will soften your edges, open your world, and leave you wondering

What are the animals showing me that I’ve never acknowledged before?

EP12, 2025 Morne Lembke Minnie on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

May 29, 2025

This week on Let’s Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt is joined by Morne Lembke Minnie—South African horseman and quiet storm of awareness.

If you’ve ever been told to “be the boss” with your horse, this conversation might just untangle everything you thought you knew about leadership, control, and communication.

Morne doesn’t use force. He doesn’t shout. He listens—and horses lean in. Together, Sarah and Morne explore the spaces between language and being, between stillness and choice, and how horses show us who we are when we stop trying to prove anything.

This isn’t just a chat about horsemanship—it’s about presence, perception, and trusting yourself in the moments when nothing makes sense
 and yet everything is alive.

EP10, 2025 Gareth Maré on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

May 08, 2025

In this episode of Let’s Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt talks with Gareth MarĂ© about his approach to training horses. He has always maintained that horses are not out to ‘get us’ and can't be ‘naughty’; they are just responding from the pool of their experiences and trying to survive.

For Gareth, educating people that horses are essentially a peaceful animal is very important, and he uses equine neurological science to back up his relaxed approach to training.

EP8, 2025 Jim Greendyk on Let's Talk Horses, Life & Living with Sarah Watt!

Apr 24, 2025

A lot of the conversations on this podcast center around horses, but they are really about life. In this episode of Let’s Talk Horses, Life & Living, Sarah Watt talks with Jim Greendyk about horses, self awareness, discipline and social media.

Sarah loves how Jim trains horses. He has developed a reputation for being kind and successful in the show pen, living and loving the game. As Jim says, every day is a day to be out with your horses and enjoying what you are doing. Every day is the same - you wake, you eat breakfast, you ride horses - and, every day is different, as your horse can be a sweetheart one day and dragon the next.

Trusting you and your process, and working with the way the horse presents itself each day is the key to success.
